Kelli and Dave - Philly Engagement

I'm so excited about Kelli and Dave's wedding next weekend! I actually photographed Kelli's brother's wedding - Stephanie and John - in May of 2007 so it's just such an honor to be doing another wedding for this family. It's been happening a lot lately, I see my past and future clients at weddings - it's really a cool feeling.

So Kelli and Dave and I met up at Penns Landing in Philly and we kind of walked around South Street and then hopped in our cars and went down to the Citizens Bank Park area and took some pictures there. It was so much fun, they are such a great couple, I can't wait for the wedding!

On the way home...

I sometimes wish I had a camera in my eyes somehow so I can capture what I see all the time. Since that is not possible I am just trying to take more pictures of random things I see around me. On the way home from a recent engagement session I passed by this horse, and knew I would regret it if I didn't take a picture.

A bit of advice

When taking these romantic "from above" shots...


... don't fall on your clients. hehe.

Boudoir

At Corinna and Joe's wedding I really liked these wall sconces and I immediately wanted to create a funky moody image with the bride and groom underneath one of them.

I was able to steal them away for a minute between dances and I'm so glad I did!

Pushing Daisies!!!

For the love of all that is whimsical watch Pushing Daisies tonight!!!

8 p.m. on ABC

Even though I think the ratings system is TOTALLY outdated with everyone watching shows online, DVR or just buying the seasons when they're done, Pushing Daisies is in danger of being cancelled due to low ratings!

Several things can be done to "help" - the quickest and easiest is to contact ABC and tell them not to cancel the show, and to tell your friends to watch the show, post about it on your blogs, facebook and myspace and also pick up Season 1 on DVD!

2 quick things -

- I got an email today from site management reminding everyone that candles are not allowed in the building - oops!

- I left a note in the door of where I THINK the owner lives, of the little dog that got hit, left my phone number and email, hopefully someone will let me know if the dog is ok :(

And the outside looks like this - so everyone was thankful that it was a false alarm

*EDIT* everyone except the fire department who showed up about 5 minutes later and came in my office to question me and investigate the candle in question.

It's snowing!!!

Wow, this weather is crazy, it's practically blizzarding outside my window right now.

So I am back from my few days away - I had Corrina and Joe's wedding on Saturday and we got some cool photos despite the rainy weather. On Sunday was our anniversary, so my husband and I went to NYC after a big family dinner and stayed over and spent the day in the city yesterday, it was such a perfect day for it. We stayed at a chic hotel in Soho and I want to go back there to shoot boudoir!

It's good to be back, I am totally in the 'editing' zone today. I have my Pandora radio on, a big cup of coffee, and I'm just editing away.
