Christina and Mike - Collingswood, NJ

Christina, (who goes by the nickname Pip) and her fiance' Michael, were married at the First Presbyterian Church in Haddonfield and had their reception at the Collingswood Ballroom. Pip and her bridesmaids got ready at the Haddonfield Inn - a super cute B&B.

Ode to grandma

One of my favorite memories of my grandmother is watching her tend to her flower garden. Her garden was HUGE and full of colorful fragrant flowers, I remember people stopping by to admire it. Last summer was my first summer in our new home and my first chance to pay homage to my grandma by starting my own flower garden. And early this spring I put even more plants in the ground and over the past few months I have watched it get more and more colorful.

This morning, even though I'm swamped with work I decided to.. literally.. "stop and smell the flowers" hehe... I didn't want to miss the opportunity to capture the sunflowers as they are about to bloom. So after watering, I snapped a few photos. It's not much and not NEARLY as amazing as my grandmother's, but here is what my little garden looks like:

Causing a Stir

I had another boudoir session today at the Clinton Street Bed and Breakfast in Philadelphia. My friend Allie does the hair and makeup and assists me at the sessions. We were so inspired by the recent Trash the Dress brides, we decided that, if we had enough daylight after the boudoir session, we'd wear our wedding gowns around Philadelphia and take photos of each other. We caused quite a commotion and at one point there were about 20 people across the street from where we were, just staring and wondering what was going on. It was so much fun!!! Our dresses really didn't get trashed either, I am saving that for next time, I want to jump in the ocean with mine.

We laughed SO hard during this mini-shoot. It was just the best use we could possibly get out of our wedding gowns. Good times!

Here I almost fell while running across the street.. haha! Apparently it was not the best idea to wear flip flops for this.

Here I am in the "famous" Clinton Street B&B window!

Trashed!

Well, it's 11 p.m. and I just got home from the session. It was SO much fun! There were so many photographers, and we were put in groups of 5-7 and each had a bride to photograph. I was super excited to see familiar faces in my group - Kim and Trevor from Photos Unscripted - a photographer couple I know from the forum Digital Wedding Chat - it was so great to meet them in person.

Here are just a few photos:

This is when I was still completely nervous - all the photographers went up on the stairs outside the Taj Mahal while the brides came outside. Everyone cheered and we also had our photo taken - hopefully I'll be able to get a copy of that and when I do I'll post it!

And then names were read off a list, we were separated into groups, and we were off with our bride, Dawn.

Anyone who will go in the water in Atlantic City at almost 10 p.m. in very dense fog .. IN HER WEDDING GOWN...is pretty much my hero.

Did the bride have a good time? I'd say so.
