Boudoir Info

Boudoir sessions are all about YOU. Your makeup and hair is professionally done, using top of the line products from Nars, Chanel, Lancome, Mac, Bobbi Brown, Bumble&Bumble etc. We listen to music, watch Project Runway reruns, snack on caramel popcorn and chat while you're getting pampered. The actual session is about 2 hours, and you may make as many outfit changes as time allows (usually between 5-8) I carefully and creatively process the photos after the session, so don't worry about tan lines and imperfections. You get your digital negatives on disc (about 150 photos), and 20 5x7's in a leather album. The cost of the room, hair and makeup, snacks and beverages are included. Please email me for pricing info!

These are all from Clinton Street B&B in Philadelphia - but I am open to photographing at other locations throughout NJ and even New York City. I know there are some really amazing places out there, so if you're interested in a session and have a location in mind, let me know!

*photos from boudoir sessions are never published on the blog or anywhere without client permission*

2008 Availability

Just a quick note about 2008.

As of now, April, May, June, September, and October 2008 are completely booked.

I have limited availability for the remaining months. There is room for 1 more wedding in July, August, November and December.

Also, in case you are planning an early 2008 wedding, I have some availability in January, February and March. The winter/early spring months are also great for booking boudoir sessions, because once wedding season really hits, I will not be booking any additional sessions, so as to focus on my wedding clients.

I am booking for 2009 now as well.

Thanks everyone for your support :) I enjoyed the 2007 season so much, I couldn't have done it without you!!

Stephanie and John - the album

Here is a sample album design for a coffee-table style album. Stephanie and John have chosen the Capri Modern Image book with a clear cover. I will have the completed album in a few weeks and I'll be sure to photograph it! These books are awesome, I can't wait to see the final product!!

I'm back!

Back from a fantastic week off, catching up on email/voicemail/etc.

Here's something else I worked on today. A client wants to order this print in a large size, on canvas, and was wondering if I can somehow blur out the bridesmaids in the background. I actually really missed working on photos this past week - so I dove right in. So here is the photo, before and after Photoshop.

This photo was taken by my assistant Kelly, a candid moment caught while the bridesmaids watched me photograph the bride and groom on the beach. Of course if this was an actual formal or posed photo we would have been careful to make sure there were no distractions in the background. As photojournalists, it's not our style to interfere with candid moments... but it's kind of amazing what can be done afterwards, with the magic of Photoshop :)

Reactions like these are one of the reasons I LOVE what I do!

I received this email from Melissa, whose wedding was featured here

"Finally finally we went through all the photos, you really did such a great job-- it's amazing because there are a few moments in particular that I assumed weren't caught on film and I would just have to have them in my memory, but somehow you and your assistant caught pretty much everything! I am amazed and very grateful :-)"

And here's a quick one from Jennifer - I posted a couple from her wedding here, but I will be posting more soon. This was Jennifer's response to seeing the first 500 or so of her photos:

"Thanks so much! I'm truly thrilled with what I've seen so far."

and when she saw the rest of her photos -

"I am SO super excited about my pictures! I feel like you really captured me and my personality on film. It's pretty amazing how pictures can tell the story of the day so well."

I also received a beautiful Thank You card from Christy and Mike -

"Thank you so much for doing such an awesome job photographing our wedding. We are so pleased with how all 1200 pictures turned out! We've received so many compliments on them and I don't know how in the world we're going to choose our pictures for our album! Thanks again, we really appreciate it!"
